At Fazenda Klem, coffee is a family affair. Nagipe Viana Klem, the families patriarch, started to work with coffee in the mid-1950s. From the start, he set out to produce coffees of excellence. His focus on environmental issues and quality coffee was unparalleled in that time and place.

In 2010, the children of Nagipe Viana Klem, Caesar, Márcio, Sérgio and Claudio, continued to pursue his vision and started to improve Fazenda Klem’s coffee. Making the transition from conventional to organic certified coffee, and investing in pulpers, dryers, greenhouses with African drying beds and new drying patios. In 2017 Fazenda Klem obtained the 3rd place in Brazil’s Cup of Excellence – reaching 91,17 points during the contest. ‘We are proud of our origins, our family, our coffee, and we always want to bring our coffee to every table’ – Caesar Klem.

The farm is stretched out over heights ranging between 900 and 1250 m.a.s.l. and is part of a beautiful Atlantic Forest which stimulates a lively ecosystem. The farm has an excellent combination of polyculture between coffee, avocado and banana trees. Fazenda Klem’s crop starts in June, which is early for Brazil (usually between July and September). Because of this, coffee can mature more slowly, giving seeds more time to absorb sugars. The farm works together with 50 partners, each responsible for his/her area of the farm. All partners have a stake in the total production and bear the responsibility to deliver high-quality batches



All online orders are packed and delivered from our Shop in Amsterdam East. Cut off for dispatch is 15h (local time). We aim to ship on the day of ordering, depending on available stock. If we lack a certain item, we will inform you and always try to roast any missing coffees or otherwise find a solution together.

Sometimes it happens that a coffee is already completely sold out. We will always try our best to still fulfill your order by roasting that same day. Sometimes this isn't possible due to logistics and planning. We will reach out to you to inform you of this. Usually we can ship your order the next day.

We send out coffee which is roasted 1 to 10 days prior.

Domestic Shipping

NL orders are shipped with PostNL and expected to arrive the next day.
Orders will be fulfilled and shipped out Monday to Friday.
Orders placed after 15:00 will be processed the next day.
Orders placed during the weekend will be processed on Monday the following week.

European Shipping

International orders are shipped through PostNL or DPD. Depending destination country shipping time may vary. Postal carriers are operating during business days.

If your country is not available for shipping, get in touch with us.

For countries outside of the EU we currently have a max of 10kg total package weight. This includes weight of shipping box as well as bags. If you want to order more, please reach out.

Pick Up:

Orders can be picked up at one of our shop locations in Amsterdam. Please indicate your preferred pick up location.

Our East/Pretorius location usually has the order ready within two days for pick up. Stock levels permitting

If stock is incomplete for your order we will notify you. Elandsgracht/Centrum receives deliveries every Tuesday of the week and on Thursdays we can deliver pick-up orders to the locations as well. We will notify you when it is ready.
We will do our best to fulfill pick-up orders during weekends.

Delayed or lost shipments

Sometimes packages get lost which is super frustrating! If you are waiting for your shipment for very long, please reach out to us at or respond to the mail with your order details. We will start an inquiry with our parcel system and the shipper. We maintain a 2 week cool-down period during which we hope that the shipper suddenly delivers your package after all. If it does not turn up, we will send you a full refund including any shipping costs.

Shipping issues

It is the responsibility of the customer to enter and check their address information. If you notice you've submitted an order with a wrong address, please inform us immediately. We can often change the address if the package is still within our system.
Sometimes it's possible to ask the carrier to adjust their shipping details, and we will always try.

However in case or a returned package, we will have to incur new shipping fees. Otherwise we can offer to refund the order minus the shipping fees.

If the address information is a mistake on our behalf, we will make sure the order will be shipped out and sent again as soon as possible!
