Cold Brew Concentrate
What you need:
* water
* coffee, we suggest these
* grinder
* scale
* french press or large glass jar
* a V60 + filter
Step 1
Grind your coffee coarser than you would for a pour-over.
The longer you steep, the coarser you can go.
Step 2
Add your coffee to a French press or large jar, then pour in six times the amount of water.
E.g. 100g coffee = 600ml water.
Step 3
Store in the fridge overnight.
Step 4
Plunge your press, or pour from the jar through a V60 filter.
Step 5
We like this concentrate because you can vary how its being served, dilute approximately half of a glass with concentrate over ice with an addition of your choice; water or (oat)milk.
Tasty tip
Since you're steeping overnight, your coffee doesn't need to be super fresh.
Collect those forgotten or bits of left-over beans from the back of the cupboard and create a once-in-a-lifetime cold brew blend.
Extra Tasty Tip
Perfect for an espresso martini if you don't have an espresso machine at home.
You can also make a flash brew, just like Farouq.
