FAQs

Q: Where do you ship to?

A: Most of the EU mainland and the UK as well as a few other locations. See our shipping page for more details. If you live further away and want to order, please send us an email at order@rumbaba.nl and we can discuss options.

Q: Do you sell kilo bags of the filter roast coffee?

A: YES! Finally it's here. Some coffees are excluded as these are so exclusive that the green-price we pay for them already means we're taking a fairly small margin to make them affordable for our fans.

Q: My shipment still hasn't arrived, now what?

A: It's the worst when this happens. Reach out to us at order@rumbaba.nl or respond to the mail with your order details. We will start an inquiry with our parcel system and the shipper. We maintain a 2 week cool-down period during which we hope that the shipper suddenly delivers your package after all. If it does not turn up, we will send you a full refund including any shipping costs. Please see our shipping information for more details.

Q: Do you do gift sets?

A: At the moment we don't have a bundle option yet, but we are working on it! If you do want to order something for someone else, we can write them a nice note on your behalf. Just tell us in the order notes. We don't have any giftwrapping paper but we've got a selection of cool stickers and goodies that we love to add.

Q: Do you have subscriptions?

A: Not yet! But we're working on it!

Q: Do you have a wholesale platform?

A: We are working on it, but if you want to work with us, please reach out to us at order@rumbaba.nl and we'll set you up!

Q: Do you sell cakes?

A: Yes! Our East location bakes fresh cakes daily and we will start the day with a beautiful selection. We also sell whole loaves and pies when they're available. Walk in to check our selection, but come early as we sell out quickly. Sadly we do not do reservations or custom orders for cakes anymore.

Q: Who is Rum Baba?

A: Rum Baba coffeeroasters is no new kid on the block, not long after we opened one of the first specialty coffee bars in Amsterdam (Coffee Bru, 2011) Jeroen felt the desire to not only brew coffee behind his bar but to work on the whole process from green bean buying to the cup.
Together with his partner Lusan, they founded Rum Baba coffeeroasters to persue their ambition. First they started roasting beans for in house brewing, later growing to roast for wholesale and home brewers. At this point Jeroen sources the coffee and cares for the production with the team as Lusan is responsible for the branding of the label and the shop locations.

What we look for in our coffee is to be accessible yet complex and showing personality. Coffee should be fun, tasty and exciting as well. Accessibility is something deeply anchored at Rum Baba, without compromising on quality.

We love working directly with partners in the chain, from producers growing their crop till the coffee in your cup, whether these are partner cafes, or home coffee aficionados.

The Roastery has been growing and developing over the years a lot and we are really happy and excited where we stand today. Growing as a business together with a great team who are bringing their personalities, skills and experiences into this company a long the way, contributing and shaping up a company culture of diversity.
