The farmers of Okoluu Farmers’ Group cultivate coffee trees at a dizzying altitudes of 2,150 meters above sea level. Farming on small plots of land of approximatly 2 hectare. They typically work largly traditional with intercropping coffee and other food crops. No pesticides and chemical fertilizers are used.

After harvest, the farmers in the area around Okoluu delivered their ripe cherries to the (Okoluu) washing station. Here the cherries are sundried on raised beds for several weeks after which these are ready and sent to the Mill for further processing. This processing is a very 'natural' and typical way around in Ethiopia.

Great coffees from the area transfer you walking among blossoming fruit trees and smelling nectar of summer flowers . This lot is our first of this years line up of arrivals from Ethiopia. It is distinctive clean for a natural coffee. It has a pleasant balance of berries and floral  with a mild chocolate layer.
